Andy Anderson
Andy Anderson earned a Masters of Music in orchestral
conducting at the University of Missouri – Kansas City
Conservatory of Music under the direction of Robert Olson. He has
been assistant conductor of the Colorado MahlerFest in Boulder for
nine years and he held the same post for three seasons with the
Kansas City Ballet. In May 2000 he was given the prestigious Muriel
McBrien Kauffman Outstanding Graduate Assistant Award by the
Conservatory of Music at UMKC. In August 2000 he joined the
Production staff of the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. He is the founder
and conductor of the Kansas City Puccini Festival, the Artistic
Director of the Civic Opera Theater of Kansas City and was recently
appointed to the newly created post of assistant conductor for the
Lyric Opera of Kansas City.

Rossella De Angelis
Rossella De Angelis was born in 1981 in S. Maria
Capua Vetere, Italy. Baby director at 5 years, she starts to play
piano very young. At the age of 12 she is awarded with a diploma and
the bronze medal in a Regional Pianistic Competition of ACLI, and
next year she stars to compose music and texts writing her 1st
Symphony at the age of 18. To continue her strong passion for
conducting she follows Claudio Abbado for one year and Gary Bertini,
staying in contact with a lot of great musicians. She studied with
Fabio Vacchi at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan.

Sylvain Audino
Sylvain Audino studied at Lycée Condorcet, the
University of Paris-Sorbonne and the Conservatoire National Supérieur
de Musique de Paris, and attended the masterclasses in conducting of
I-M.Huang (France), I.Karaabchevski (Italy) and K-H. Bloemeke
(Germany). He became Yutaka Sado’s assistant on Holst’s
“The Planets”, conducted several professional orchestras
as well as operas, was selected for several competitions and was
awarded several prizes while he was a university student. Since 2006
he is resident conductor of the theatre A. Béjart d’Asnières
where he presented productions like Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev and
Daphnis and Chloe by Ravel. Beside conducting Sylvaine Audino is the
musical initiator at the Paris National Opera, Orchestre Colonne and
Orchestre National d’Ile-de-France, he orchestrates and
composes music.

Patrick Baton
Patrick Baton studied at the Liège State University
as well as at the Royal Conservatoire of Music of Liège where he
obtained several degrees. He studied choir conducting with László
Heltay, Guy Reibel and Philippe Herreweghe and attended courses lead
by Sergiu Celibidache, René Defossez, Alexandros Myrat. He obtained a
Higher Diploma in Opera Conducting (Conservatoire of Toulon, France).
He performed with many professional European orchestras. He obtained
awards in different international competitions and won the Special
Prize of the St Petersburg Composers at the first Prokofiev
International Conducting Competition (St Petersburg, 1992). He
recorded music for Philips, Cyprès and Syrinx. Since 1997 Patrick
Baton is the chief conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Liège
Conservatoire where he teaches orchestral practice.

Marco Boido
Born in Rome, Marco Boido studied at the “Santa
Cecilia” Music Conservatory under Carlo Bruno (piano), Teresa
Procaccini (composition) and Bruno Aprea (orchestra conducting). He
followed conducting courses under Marcel Couraud, Ervin Acél, Emil
Simon, Kurt Redel and Lajos Raiter. He has conducted many
professional orchestras in Romania, Moldavia, Italy and Poland. He is
a regular guest conductor of the Korrespondenzen orchestra from
Baden-Baden holding concerts in Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, France and
Luxembourg. He is a teacher at the Donna Olimpia Music School and
conducts the chorus of Liceo Tasso in Rome.

Niels Borksand
After a more than 35 year long career as an actor and
operasinger Niels Borksand took up the baton in 2000 and began
studying with the foremost conducters in Denmark and with the
Austrian maestro Dietfried Bernet for whom he has also worked as an
assistant. Establishing his own orchestra The Sinfonietta Arctica he
has presented numerous concerts in Denmark and Greenland where he is
often on tour. There he conducted the first ever performance of
Händel´s Messiah in 2004 and of Mozart´s Requiem in 2005. Apart from
conducting a wide repertoire from symphonic music to brassband and
choir with many Danish ensembles, he has worked with Wagner
productions in Sweden and Denmark as well as with choirs for plays at
The Royal Theatre in Copenhagen. Most recently he has conducted opera
and concerts in Bulgaria and made recordings with the Bulgarian
National Philharmonic Orchestra/Ruse for the Danish label
Classico.

Michel Brousseau
The Canadian conductor was nine years old when he
started his piano studies. Studying conducting under Raffi Armenian,
he graduated from the Montreal Music Conservatory, where he also
obtained a First Prize in piano. He also studied conducting with Otto
Werner-Müller, Milen Nachev, Valery Vachev and Aldo Faldi. He is
presently conductor and artistic director of the New World
Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, the Ottawa Classical Choir, the
Chanteurs de Sainte-Thérèse Choir, and the Semper Fidelis Vocal
Ensemble. He has conducted in Italy, France, the Czech Republic,
Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, the United States and Canada. In 2005 he
was finalist of the International Luigi Mancinelli Opera Conducting
Competition held in Italy. Between 1995 and 1999 he was artistic
coordinator of the Montreal Music Conservatory, one of his roles
being the promotion of the talented young musicians. Currently he is
preparing to release a recording that showcases the most beautiful
Slavic and Italian arias for soprano and orchestra.

Igor Bukhvalov
Born in Minsk, Belarus conductor is Igor Bukhvalov
currently pursuing his conduction career in New York City. He studied
choral conducting at the Gnesin Musical Institute in Moscow and
graduated as an opera and symphony orchestra conductor from the
Belarusian Academy of Music (his professor was Gennady Provatorov).
Igor Bukhvalov is a laureate of the International Church Music
Competition and the Wroclaw Conductor’s Competition (Poland).
He conducted many performances with the Belarusian State Bolshoi
Theater and the State Symphony Orchestra of Belarus as well as the
State Academic Choir of the Republic of Belarus. His teaching
experience dates back to the period when he was a choirmaster in the
Musical College of Minsk

William Carslake
Winner of the Hugh Roberton Conducting Prize, William
Carslake (31) studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and
Drama with Martyn Brabbins and Ilya Musin at the St Petersburg
Conservatory, Russia. Previously he was Organ Scholar at Pembroke
College, Cambridge University, where he conducted the university
orchestras as Assistant to Stephen Cleobury. Recently William has
studied with Jorma Panula in Finland, and Sian Edwards in London. He
has worked with several opera companies and conducted numerous
symphonic orchestras. He founded and ran the Pembroke Academy of
Music in South London, which provides instrumental tuition for
socially disadvantaged students.

Hebe de Champeaux
Hebe de Champeaux was born in Amsterdam, the
Netherlands, and was raised in San Jose, California. She received her
Masters of Music in Instrumental Conducting at the Indiana
University. She co-founded a collaborative ensemble of artists,
dancers, and musicians called ExArt in the spring of 2006 with
Mihaela Bogdan. She received her Bachelor of Music in Violin
Performance from San Francisco State University, where she studied
with the Alexander String Quartet. She has performed widely as an
orchestral musician with various regional and international
orchestras, including the Henry Mancini Orchestra 2006 and the AIMS
Orchestra in Graz, Austria. She is currently the conductor, violin,
and flute teacher at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music,
and she is the conductor of the Jerusalem Chorus in Ramallah,
Palestine.

Vincenzo Colagiuri
Vincenzo Colagiuri was born in Sydney, Australia, his
parents are Italian. He started playing the piano at the age of five
and studied conducting under Gerald Krug and completed his piano
studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. A further period of
study took him to the UK, attending courses at the English National
Opera and accompanying the vocal master-classes of famous artists. He
has been active as a concert accompanist and repetiteur in a wide
variety of repertoire. He was a participant in the Symphony Australia
Conductor Development Programme 2004 and his most recent conducting
engagements include Così fan tutte and La Belle Hélène as well as the
musicals Titanic in Sydney and The Phantom Of The Opera in
Singapore.

Stephen Ellery
After graduating from the Birmingham Conservatoire as
a clarinetist and composer Stephen Ellery received several
international scholarships. Between 1988-1991 he studied conducting
with Jerzy Katlewicz at the Krakow Academy of Music, from 1991 to
1995 he continued his studies with Ilia Musin at the St Petersburg
Conservatory. He obtained the Master’s Degree in conducting at
the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music. He won prizes and awards
at various international conducting competitions. Stephen Ellery now
works with children’s orchestras in London. He had also
conducted children orchestras in Japan and Siberia as well as various
orchestras on four continents.

Georges-Étienne d’Entremont
Born in Montréal, Canada, the 29 years old
Georges-Étienne d’Entremont studied at the Conservatoire de
musique du Québec à Montreal as well as at the Staatliche Hochschule
für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, Germany. He has
studied with Raffi Armenian, Stéphane Laforest, Louis Lavigueur and
Per Borin. In 2001-2003 he was second conductor, chorus master and
coach for the Université du Québec à Montreal’s opera program.
In the last few years, Georges-Étienne d’Entremont has
conducted many orchestras and choruses as spear conductor in the
Montréal area. As a part of his training, he also conducted
rehearsals of the Württembergischen Kammerorchesters (Heilbronn), the
Bruckner Sinfonie Orchester (Stuttgart) and the Südwestdeutschen
Philharmonie (Konstanz).

José Antonio Espinal
Born in Mexico, José Antonio Espinal is pianist,
orchestral and choral conductor who lives in Los Angeles, the United
States. In 2000 he moved from Mexico to the US in order to work with
maestro Esa-Pekka Salonen, conductor of the LA Philarmonic. He
received two artistic grants from the Mexican National Endowment for
Arts and Culture and is in charge of four choirs within The Harmony
Project, an internationally recognized music organization providing
music instruction for the youth. Actively involved in choir
directing, he is the founder of a choir festival in Mexico and
participated at several prestigious international festivals. He was
honoured for his work with children and young people.

Rubén Flores
Rubén Flores was born in 1969 in Xalapa Veracruz,
Mexico. He studied flute and conducting in Mexico and the United
States and graduated from the Veracruz University. In 2001 he started
his professional career as a conductor of the State Symphonic
Orchestra. As a guest conductor he has directed several professional
orchestras in Mexico. He arranges classical and folk music for
orchestras and bands and he has been invited to share this experience
in more than 20 workshops held at various universities. He has been
the chief conductor of the Veracruz Youth Symphonic Orchestra. He was
one of the last Latin American students of maestro Jorma Panula.

David Glover
David Glover, originally from Athens, Georgia, USA,
started his musical career as a violinist at age of 5. As a violinist
he attended the University of Georgia (BM) and Boston University
(MM), studying with Bayla Keyes. He has participated in the Brevard
Music Festival, Musicorda, and the Rome Festival. As a member of the
Arco Chamber Orchestra, he made two tours to Carnegie Hall and other
venues on the East Coast. As a conductor, he has been a part of the
South Carolina Conducting Institute, the Opera Workshop at Spoleto.
He also was the conductor of the Pre-College Orchestra at the
University of Georgia between 2003-2004. Currently he is an assistant
conductor to the orchestras at Indiana University. In 2005 he founded
L’Orchestra da Camera and lead its two inaugural
performances.

Yiannis Hadjiloizou
Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, he received his first piano
lessons at age of 4. He graduated from the Cyprus Academy of Music
and the Piano Studio of Madam Despo Hadjiloizou-Frangakou. In 1993 he
was awarded the prize for Best Music Composed for a Play by the
Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture. He continued his studies in
the United States and he now holds nine diplomas, the last one being
a doctorate from Boston University. He has produced 3 records with
the Nicosia Music Society. He is the founder of the Chicago Camerata
(1999), Melodramatic Stage of Nicosia (2000), and Boston Chance
Orchestra and Chorus (2006), and has made a guest appearance with
world-renowned contemporary music ensemble ALEAIII. He was appointed
president and artistic director of the Cyprus Academy of Music in
2000. He is also an active tv/film/ad composer and works in his
private Audio/Midi recording studio.

Koichiro Kanno
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1971, Koichiro Kanno started
studying the piano at the age of 5. He continued his musical training
at the Toho-Gakuen School of Music and the University of Music and
Performing Arts in Vienna. Koichiro Kanno was engaged as a conductor
at Opera Brasov in Romania (1997-2001). Since 2003 he has been the
music assistant and solo-repetitor at the Opernfestspiel Heidenheim
in Germany.
